The Memorandum of Association and Rules & Regulations are the two basic regulations of the Institute, which describe the overall functioning and activities of the Institute. Based on these two Regulations, the Institute, with the approval of the Governing Council, which is the controlling body of the Institute, has framed various Guidelines, Rules and Regulations for the day to day administration and also for regulating the service conditions of its employees and other activities of the Institute in course of its functioning.

- The Institute is registered under the Factory Act with exemption of certain clause/s and is identified as an Industry. As such, the Institute also follows all statutory laws viz. Factory Act, Industrial Disputes Act, Environment Control Air/Water Act. Gratuity Act., EPF Act. IESO Act. Etc., to the extent they are applicable to its employees.

The Institute is following the pay and allowances rules formulated by Government of India. The Institute is following Fundamental Rules, Supplementary Rules, Pay fixation Rules, for regulating the pay & allowances of its employees. Further, the Institute apart from following its own guidelines, it also follows LTC Rules, CGHS/CCS Medical Attendance Rules, CCS Leave Rules, Quarter Allotment Rules/ Guidelines, HBA Rules for regulating the service conditions of its employees on these matters to the extent they are applicable.
