The affairs of the Institute are administered, by the Governing Council constituted by the Govt. of India – DIPP- Ministry of Commerce & Industry & is the over all controlling body of the Institute. The Governing Council consists of the President, Vice President & Members nominated by the Govt. and the activities of the Institute are administered, directed & controlled in accordance with the Rules & Regulations of the Institute. The Director is the Principal Executive of the Institute. The powers & Functions of the above authorities are as specified in the Memorandum of Association (MOA). |

Basically, the Institute undertakes R&D oriented sponsored project works – Design & Development in the area of manufacturing Technology and executes projects on turnkey basis. The project costing is worked-out by the Project Co-ordination and Customer Relations Department in consultation with Design, Manufacturing, Assembly & Finance Departments. The decision making is decentralized on the work related basis with overall control by the Director. Functional duties, Channels of supervision, accountability are as per the Organisational chart as at Annexure A. |
